Hi everyone. I'm Mike, from Canton, OH. I got turned onto this site by a buddy who is into old stuff just like I am. I recently purchased a '66 Buick Special- that isn't. 4 dorrs and plenty o' rust but I'm looking fwd to cruising it anyhow. I like to drive them. Anyhow, I just wanted to say hi. I'm really looking fwd to learning from everyone on here. Peace.

    Hey Max,

We aren't that far apart, from one FNG to another, Welcome!

We bought a '68 Special 4 door in late fall of 1986 after moving back home from Texas. Needed an extra set of wheels as I didn't want to be driving the avatar F100 in the salt, but we were strapped, so it had to be extra cheap. Found this low mileage one family car that had some pretty severe front collision damage. I used a come-along and a sledge hammer to get the core support and radiator fwd enough so it'd run and she gave us good service for over a year. Then sold it to some good friends who drove it a few more years. Wish I had snap of it now.

I think I still have the stock "Sonomatic" am radio out of it.
