Another old custom yet to be saved (ebay)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Sancho, Dec 1, 2004.

  1. Customs in general are open to interpretation -as to beauty and execution as far as I am concerned...
Craig- I was glad to se you ended up with the car!

RPW-I meant what I said about this car,Just because Im not a big Custom fan does not mean I know nothing about them.

I was thinking about the studebaker he built and re built as a comparison.......that was an ugly custom.this car shows some ingenuity in my opinion... [IMG]

    Craig-Is that a 57 Rambler amb***ador roof? /and maybe a 56 ford windshield?

yea, this one will run a saints plaque.
My buddy Tommy (el Diablo) picked it up for me today.
    He said it's pretty complete.
Now the question, Restore exactly as it was, or try to make some subtle changes. (chopped top, better front end) [IMG]

    We'll see.

[/ QUOTE ] I'd put it back as close to original as I could. Good luck with it. Dean

its not like your changing the hirohata merc...i think that car would look great with a nice chop,it would pull the whole car together..it would be a preserved old custom, and at the same time you would make it "yours"

I'd change it....maybe have Steve Stanford do a concept sketch of what he might do to it. It's not a "famous" custom, (most of the famous ones are good looking, or built by a famous builder).... so do the traditional thing and make it better.
