Well, actually I not new to reading HAMB, but new to posting anything. I end up here by searches on google all the time. It has been helpful many times. I'm an OLD Ford nut, mainly deuces, but have had a love affair with my '34 5-window for over 30 yrs. Have a couple deuces also, a 3-window and a 2-dr. sedan highboy, unfinished. But recently picked up a real nice 35 yr. old restoration '32 4-dr. Want to carefully hot rod it with a flathead. Going to need help here, as I want to leave the body on the frame and K member in. Do not want to use the trad. '39 trans, because I like to drive and want to be able to get home after banging some gears. This is my first flathead (well, I had one in high school), my other cars have chevy and sm. block Ford engines. Hope I will be able to contribute something, Iv'e driven my '34 over 100K miles, and hope I can get some input on my new project and neverending present highboy project.
Welcome several guys around here are hooking up the gm 5/spd to their flatheads and able to bang gears and also cruise on the interstate with the overdrive. yogie's has a kit if to convert if you want to go that route or make your own adaptor plate and a chev. clutch center etc. lots of help here on the board.
