Sorry to hear about this Pete, looks like you get to go to work on my old T. That motor will fit nicely with the T, taillights from that shoebox would look good too!

Just heard from Grundy....I get agreed value and I get to keep the car. They're just gonna place a salvaged ***le on it. Watch for more Shoebox parts for sale. And I'm gonna sell the 302/C4 also. The T will have Studebaker power.

Wow, that is not bad considering. When you started coverage with Grundy, how did you come up with the agreed value. I was thinking of switching but not sure what to value my shoebox at.

    Good deal all around.

You get your money and they just got way better adverti*****t than they ever could have gotten on a T.V. ad!

I will remember how they handled this claim.

  8. I was already thinking of switching to grundy too. My car is on liability only with progreesive, I think for around $350 a year I could get full coverage from Grundy.

I also liability only with Geico, about $250 a year. Grudy wants about $350 for the year, but I never have an extra $350 to pay in full....

Glad you got agreed value for the car. Man, that really is a shame. Breaks my heart to see nice old cars torn up like that

    Man, that ****s.

This almost just happened to me recently. There were a couple of cars parked out in front of the shop under some trees. My mom started to complain about how they were all in the way, and that it was looking like a junkyard, etc. Well, I like stuff being neat too, so I towed 'em out around back in an open field. Not two days later there was a storm and a huge piece of tree fell right where my car was sitting.

Even if it had been hit, it wouldn't be such a tragedy as yours, my car was a project '62 Buick LeSabre, and I believe at that time I had sold it already and was waiting for the guy to come pick it up. That would have been bad!

Ouch the left overs look like they may be usable to someone with a body shell that needs the floor and ch***is though.
