Crap. Let me guess, drunk driver walked away without a scratch? Horrible news. I hate hearing about stuff like this. Condolences to his family and friends.

 

Thats so sad and so close to Christmas.My prayers are with his family and all other victims of drunk driving during this holiday season.How can we change this drunk driver thing? so many get killed or hurt for no reason because a drunk does not know when to not drive.Ihave herd that some who drink have to blow into a meter to start there car,and if they pass the car starts.But couldnt you get someone thats not drunk blow into it for you?Is it that hard to do the right thing anymore?.............YG

but i gotta say his family needs to push for stiffer charges against the dui driver. what he did was vehicular homocide NOT manslaughter. the courts are covering their own ass from him being released barely even 24hrs prior to the accident for another DUI and less than a week on possession of meth. now the guy can bond out for $65k and be able to continue on this path. the bond on a vehicular homocide charge would be much higher and possibly keep this guy in jail and off the streets to do more harm. the threat of civil suit against the state/city should bring them around to proper thinking. reading up from the responses to the article it seems this guy is a repeat DUI offender since before he was of legal drinking age.

i have seen families push for more severe charges and the charge be changed. i know nelsons family are as they should be only concerned with the loss of their loved one, but he deserves justice to. had the courts dealt with this guy properly years ago theres a HUGE chance this would have never happened.
