Sickening............I live in Amarillo and had read the story in the local paper but had no idea it was Stovebolt48 ... we had communicated on the HAMB a few days ago..

As far as im concerned its not manslaughter its murder, .

 

I am always sad and mad both when I hear someone passing away by a drunk driver. My condolences to the family.

Absolutely senseless and at this time of year no less - my condolences to the family. RIP.

 

this past sunday night the wife and i took the kid out to look at christmas lights. on the way home i stopped at the store to get some smokes. i'm glad i did. less than a mile from my house on the crossroad that we use to get home we saw a box van with it's headlights pointing strait up in the air. we pulled over, and of course i got out to lend a hand.

the front of the truck was about 5 ft off the ground. he had ran up the guide wire for the telephone pole. there was one dude in the truck, and he was actually on the gas trying to get away! of course he was'nt going anywhere seeing as he was still in drive. i told him to get out of the van so i could try and help him. meanwhile i'm on the phone with the sheriffs office. when the guy finally got out of the truck, he couldnt even stand up! this sombitch was "PICKLED"! he smelled like a brewery. he kept getting up, and falling back on the ground. i told him to sit still, cause help was on the way. he slurred F-THAT i'm going home, and he took off walking down the road.

soon after the deputies showed up, and i told them where he went. they caught him 1 block away sitting in his driveway. this asshole blew a 2.8! the legal limit in Tx is a .08. turns out this sorry s.o.b. already has "3 PRIOR CONVICTIONS" for drunk driving! wtf is this asshole doing behind the wheel driving in my neighborhood? if i had'nt stopped at the store for smokes, he could have hit me with my wife and 2 year old boy. F**K him and all of the other drunk drivers out there.

i apologize for this rant, but too many innocent good people have died because someone had too much to drink and got behind the wheel. i pray for all of the families who have lost a loved one to something like this.

p.s. the drunk did'nt even have a scratch on him......
