Some of you might recall my previous invitations and this follows pretty much the same concept, including last minute notice. I'm extending an invitation to any (serious?) pre-war car or hot rod owner/driver from L.A. or Inland Empire area wanting to join couple of us in hot rod roadsters for a casual/informal, but possibly at times "spirited", day drive on some cool and scenic byways/highways in the area. Unfortunately, some boring "conveyor belt" (a.k.a. Freeway) driving will likely be necessary, but reasonable efforts are made to keep it minimal. Basic rules: Pre-war vehicles only. Completely informal, un-official, every car/man/woman responsible for themselves and unless self-requested or deemed absolutely necessary by all other participants., no car will be left behind. Pack beverages, snacks or lunch, full tank + spare fuel and plan to enjoy some scenic driving for few hours with reasonable amount of pit stops, etc. along the way. No chase or modern, incl. post-war vintage vehicles, please. Pussies, whiners or disrespectful driving behavior will not be tolerated, either. If interested, please PM me before 8PM tonight for meet up and route details, which include a starting point in Riverside, CA around 6AM and another possibility near Pasadena, CA area around 7-7:30AM.
Sounds like fun, but I've got a gig tomorrow. At least I saw this one BEFORE the event this time! Hopefully I can make it next time.
