Been playing around with Photochop and came up with this.Made some changes from the first pic. Roof is lower and I made the rear side window smaller and leaned the back of the roof down more.I also changed the front wheel opening

Got a box of GM truck wiring harness.Going to go through that tonight to see if I can put together a harness for the merc. Rocket56 is the man!! Anytime I need something I get it from Peter.Seems I end up with everything he has!! But ever time I go to his house he garage is still blocked!!! What up with that Peter??

I think parts just grow or multipy in my garage ...acually its a sickness and adiction of buying shit I dont need lol then i sell it for less than i paid for it or give it away . Maybe one day it will come full circle and it will all come back to me .... I think I would need a warehouse to put it all in . I like the car and what you are doing with it ....remember I called dibs lol .

we were at the shop the yesterday and were wondering what the 60 pontiac 4 door roof I have would look like on the merc. Just laid it on the car for a quick look and with some paper and tape this is what we came up with. Need to remover the pontiac front windshield frame and narrow it about 4 or 5 inch but I think it will work out just fine. The back of the roof is a bit flat so will have to work that to. The flow of the back of the roof lines up nicely with the rear deck. Well looks like i have a roof skin, now I just need to build the front windshield. frame and then I can work the pontiac roof into the mix

    Man! I like it. :D

That tiny bit of rake to the side glass really really looks good to me...along with the curved return to the rear side glass.
You said it would work and you were right!

I have the windshield but the top of the frame was gone. Plan is to take the glass and make a mold from fiberglass and use the mold to build a frame around. I am planing on building a back glass from say a full size chevy pickup front glass,I have one, and cut it down to the shape I want for a back glass. I need a curved glass and think a front glass out of something will work. I`ll build the rear window frame much the same way as I plan on building the front frame.

Things at the shop are better now that I have a few guys hired. Plan is to try to spend a hour a day at it and try to get one full day a week at it.I work at my shop all week and most Saturdays I`m working on a truck for another customer at his garage. Right now I just getting a game plan in order.Making a list of parts that I need and finding them and figuring out how I will be build this, which I think I have figured out.

Here is a few pics from last nights fire wall and trans tunnel repair and some from today. had the roof off a 1980 chevy pickup in my stash and after sizing it up I think I can mod it to work for the top of the frame. There some other cool shapes on the roof so keep them too. The glass show up today, thanks Peter, Did a quick fit and the glass is not for a merc!! I`m thinking it is for a 52 ford.It is close but you can see it not the one for it.I still can use it cause where it is different I will change the frame. So I glassed over the window so i can make a mold of it and use that for the frame building.Just waiting for the fiberglass to dry and it is on to the next step.
