Been into cars all my life, tho in the last few years family life has eaten up most of my wrenching time. I try and do as much of the work as I can: not that I find it relaxing in as much as I'm cheap by nature. Currently splitting limited time between 2 projects: a '59 Buick Invicta coupe with a 455 Stage II. All the rust & rot is gone and the chassis is done, but it's still in 2000 pieces. 10 years to get to this point is normal, right??
Other project is my rusty original ex-oil tanker '40 Ford COE cab/chassis, which I intend to make a tow vehicle for the '59 out of. The body will be left as is, tho the 239 is getting headers/duals & a set of Edelbrocks. Still have my first car, '64 Grand Prix: when I bought it in '86 with 55K on it, it still was wearing a '71 inspection sticker. It's all stock, unrestored, needing cosmetics and in long-term storage.

I know a few folks here already from either the 'net, or in person. Kustom7777 with the '41 Caddy taildragger pointed me over here. Love what I've read of the site so far, intend to stick with it for a while. Thanks!
