Just picked up my Fleetline from the high school. I think they did a good job for the first full car they have ever shot paint on (that thread is here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2596903#post2596903). They did a real decent job on the body work, too. Sure, it needs more blocking, but I have more custom work to do anyhow, so that day is coming. I'm just stoked to see it all one color!

Lookin good man! Needs lots of striping like that kids over at Reeds Early Iron! I love those cars, had a 49 I bought from an old friend of mine before he p***ed away. He had bought it in 53 for his wife to drive, he kept it after she p***ed. Kustomd owns it now.

Thanks guys! Still lots to do, over time, of course. Have some 56 Olds headlights and 49 Buick taillights to put on, as well as a 52 grille with extra teeth. Ultimately, it will be gloss black with copper scallops in the general form of Larry Watson's G****vine Chevy. I'll probably go ahead and scallop it in the next few months on the satin black, just to make sure I'm really gonna like it painted that way in the end.

The whole interior needs done, as does the drive train with an eventual 276 Desoto hemi I have here, Mustang II front end and dropping the rear end down a bit, but keeping a bit of a rake. Fishtail, yes, I have all new gl*** for it, but it is the original green tint.

The instructor is toadfrog here on the HAMB. He's the teacher we all wished we'd had. The cl*** project before Dave's Fleetline was toadfrog's 59 F-100.
