Not a fan of Hoffman, but I disagree with you. A scammer will take your money and data but not ship a product. HG will take your money and data but send you the product thereby honoring the transaction. The fact that the product is of poor quality is secondary. It is, and always has been, the responsibility of the buyer to know what you are buying.

You can right click on an image on their website (page you opt to visit) and select:
    - "Search image with Google"
    - On the right-top, on the resultant side bar, select "Find image source"

In order to make that function work in Chrome (they have disabled the right click function with javascript - thus the proprietary content message when attempting a right click ).

You need to disable JavaScript for that page using the procedure below:
Note: On my Chrome browser, once the procedure is completed, it works on all of the pages for their website.

    Procedure 1
    Chrome browser:
    - Go up to the Chrome browser url address bar (at the top contains the url for the page)
    - Click on the "padlock" icon in the address bar (next to and to the left of the url address for that page)
    - Select “Site Settings” (that action opens another page/tab (settings)
    -Disable JavaScript:
    1. Locate the "Privacy and Security option (you should already be there)
    2. Locate the JavaScript from the "Permission" listing/column
    3. Click on the “Block” button
    - Go back to their original website page you were on: Reload the page and right-click on the image again

Now the above right click procedure will work and you can select the "Search image with Google" option

FYI: seems like a lot of their images come from "hotrodworks.com

I recently sold a gauge panel with three gauges in it to a long standing HAMBer from Canada...not cheap...$625. About a week later, I'm looking at Facebook Marketplace and, lo & behold, I see my exact pictures I posted on the HAMB...same price, even. I contacted the guy I sold them to & he was not a happy camper, either. Since it's FB, I do know the guy's name. I doubt (hope) that he's not a member here. I'm very reluctant to get into it with him, because it's my wife's FB account & I don't need to waste my time & cram more negativity in my skull. It's a sorry state of affairs.

If you are on facebook marketplace and see a great deal on something, click on the owners name under sellers information and then page down and you can see their other ads. if they have that truck, car or whatever listed in 75-150 different cities you know it is a scam listing.

That's exactly the situation. I reported it to Facebook as a scam, but that's like pissin' in the wind.

We pursued a few different online "complaint" routes. I'm not sure what worked, but as of right now oldskoolhotrodparts -dot- con and a related site robcustom -dot- con are off line. Hopefully they stay off line.

Edit: Update. It looks like both sites are working now. We're still working through channels to see what can be done.
