Did a number of searches and didn’t quite find the info.

I have a standard rebuilt flathead and am adding the H&H Navarro Heads and Scot Blower to it. As for the head gaskets, I was looking at Best Gaskets. Would copper or graphite be better for this combo?

Also, the standard bore gaskets are backordered, would the big bore work? The big bore says it would work with 3-1/16 bore.

Finally, this is an 8ba motor.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

There isn't much room between some of the studs and water ports to the chamber. I'd think any chance for more gasket between them, I'd want it. If you have a smaller bore engine, do more search for a smaller bore gasket. As to which type is best, can't H&H give a recommendation?

Thanks! Appreciate it. As to H&H, I’ve tried calling a dozen times in the last two weeks and no answer and no return call from my first voicemail.

H&H is not good at returning calls try an e-mail. I would think after springing for the heads and blower they would be a bit more responsive?

I have Navarro 59A heads on my 8BA motor from H&H. He said to use the graph***e gaskets.
