IM junking out a car here shortly and was wondering about the catalytic converter. I know people are stealing them left and right but whats the procedure to taking one in for junk?
    How much are they bringing?

My god I stumbled onto people selling them on ebay for scrap in the metal alloys section.
I cant believe what people are bidding on for junk.

    Any help?

  2. i friend of mine who is in the auto repair business told me that they can bring $75 to a couple hundred bucks....depending on the catalytic converter

if i recall correctly , there are only special places that will accept them

Check your local craigslist, there's probably someone local to you advertising to buy them in any quantity. I know here they put ads in the wanted and car parts sections of craigslist.

Your local scrap yard will take them, all you do is cut it off and hand it over.
