Yeah and if somebodys had some experience around the best chops in the country, its Mudslinger. I too think the proportions on this car are superb. It looks far from stock and better than 90 percent of the shoebox chops done by anyone under 60. You can walk all around it and and the roof never looks like it collapsed on itself. The heights are perfect.

Your kidding right? Two more inches and the perportions would have been all screwed up. You probably like those chops that the car looks stepped on don't you? Here are some before and after shots to refresh your memory. I'm not sure but it looks chopped to me.

  3. A beautiful and well done chop indeed! Got to agree with what someone else said that their are far to many boxes that looks squashed and smashed.
I'm eagerly awaiting the outdoor photo update on this one :D

    Keep it going!

Thanks for posting all of the pics. One day job, HA! Like the TV shows that rebuild a whole car in one hour. You should be proud of the work that you did. Bet owner is thrilled. Post pics of the next chop, or other stuff, that you do.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. I can't believe all the great feedback this is getting. I spent alot of time looking at the roof and thinking of the best way to do it before the first cuts were even made.

Well other than bodywork, it's done. Here are some pictures of the seams and the final welding. It should not take much filler.

Here are the long awaited profile shots. It looks much better on the ground than on the skates rolling around the garage.

Looks so good back on the ground. Great work!

I "borrowed" a few of your suggestions as we started mine yesterday. Still have a lot of work ahead. Your pictures made it look like a breeze. I can tell everyone from experience that you've put a lot of hours in that chop. Thanks for the inspiration and suggestions.

Thanks guys. My mind has been going crazy trying to figure out what project to do next. I think it will be to fix the taillights. Then on to a grill, then on and on and on....
