Ok, so I got this one a little while back but priorities and whatnot have held me up. The plan is as follows, chop, cut, chop, weld, lower, chop, paint, roll. I don't have a ton of body work experience so I am taking this slow, I am throwing myself on the mercy of the HAMB. I am gonna be asking for help and a lot of it, just be warned. Here are some pictures of my tiny garage with a car in it.
There isn't enough Shoebox Threads! Looks pretty straight? The interior is Definitely workable. Good luck!
Hey BamaBootlegger, Good lookin project ya got there! I got my '49 almost a year ago but no time to do much to it. Rebuilt the gen. to 12 volt and working on the carb. It's a flathead with 2x2 and 3 speed OD. Next big purchase will be tires once we get it running. Brakes will be on the list too. Maby this spring we can roll it out! Check out "Shoebox Barn Find" here on the HAMB for the post we did on it. Send us more pics!
Yeah, its pretty straight and is complete as far as chrome and trim goes. Little rot in the rockers, floors, and trunk, the usual suspects. Interior is not as good as it looks in the pics, little on the dryrotted side. Thanks though, hopefully I can really get going once I can get some moolah together.
Looks like a good little '50 for a start . Judging by the dash , it looks like a "stripper" to me ...
