Here's what I have in mind, since I can not find another pair of matching wheels to make a set of four from, and I'm a cheap-*** when it comes to buying new wheels...so here goes...

I have TWO of these Crestline wheels in a 15" x 5-1/2" on a 5-on-4-1/2" bolt pattern. I have a '56 Plymouth wagon that these are going on, BUT...the car has GM front discs and a Mopar rear axle, so these wheels obviously fit the rear just fine. Over the years, I've seen plenty of cars with the mags up front and chrome or painted steelies in the rear without a hubcap. But, never the other way around! I have two very nice GM 15"x5-1/2" steel wheels for the front.

Do you guys think the mag/rear and steelies/front look works? I'm looking to go body color on the steelies, and go with the Crestlines as you see them in pic below. I think they'd look good. Any ideas? Or better yet, anyone with the same wheels in a GM bolt pattern they wanna sell?

You can use a Mopar rotor to get a 4 1/2" bolt pattern in the front. Some Ford rotors will fit too. Depends on which GM rotor you have now.

I have a '78 Firebird front sub, so it has the GM bolt pattern.

If you know of a 4-1/2" BP rotor that'll work with the GM spindle, I'm all ears!

This gets away from my original question.

I have Granada rotors on my Camaro sub frame. Switch the bearings and races from the GM rotors to the Ford rotors. Then get a grease seal with the outer measurement for a Ford and the inner for a GM. I did this 18 years ago so I don`t have the part Number. You will need 2 spindle washers to take up the space to the cotter pin hole in the spindle and a deeper dust cover ,not hard to find. The inner brake pad must be shimmed the difference in thickness between the GM rotor and the Ford rotor. I have 113,000 miles on this setup so I know it works.

Outstanding! Which calipers did you use - the Camaro or the Granada? What year Granada rotors, and what diameter are they? Thanks for the very useful info!

Cool! This means I can use the Crestliners up front and the Mopar steelies on the back.

probably the GM calipers, since calipers are much more involved to swap out between brands...whereas wheel bearings only come in a few sizes

You're probably right. Guess I'll have to research Granada/Monarch rotors tomorrow and see where I'm at on this swap. Good build news, for a change!
