Oh yeah..I love me a `50's gasser man, Chevy, Ford, Mopar. Those Tri-5 sedans are some of my favorite of all gassers. Looks good.

 

The right convertor, and a trans brake the T400 should have no problem putting it on the bumper. Should be fun.

 

Steve, I remember seeing your truck at the Jalopy Drags, nice ride. Looking forward to seeing the Gasser this year, it's coming out real sweet. Keep as much weight off of it as possible, you'll probably be surprised at how fast it will be.

 

Steve and company have been really busting it on the gasser. With running the shop, and me in his way doing my olds, he dosent get much time on the hamb for updates. Here are a couple I took. Jerome lettering the front fenders.

You guys are doing a great job on this thing, its perfect! The lettering, axle, headers, hood, interior, push bar...its all cool. Can't wait to see it in person. Any details on the engine and rear? ....I better get going on my '55!

Thanks Dean,the engine is 355 ci 13-1 hilborn injected on methanol,the rear is a 9 inch 488 gears. were gonna start it this week for the first time

 

I know,when I started this project my intentions were 4 speed. its automatic for now but i'm still considering changing later on.

 

I was talking to my buddy Stan who has helped out so much on this project, and he was telling me that he put that on his first car so I put that on for him....plus it's bad**** ha ha

 

will it be in Detroit for the show?

 

yep! it probably took 5 years off my life span to make it happen but thats the price you pay. ha ha
