Ok so I've done all my research for my T5 swap and I think I know what I need but I have a question. I have an 8ba out of a truck and have put the car water pumps on so it'll mount right in my 53 Customline. I had to swap the truck oil pan with the car oil pan so it'll clear the steering. I have the 1/2 bell housing from the truck to use the speedway half bell adapter but will I have a problem mounting the starter? I have the starter plate and starters for both the car and truck but wasn't sure if I would still be able to use the truck plate without the truck oil pan.

Use what fits. When mounting the starter, use or make the little tin brace that goes from the top starter bolt to an oil pan bolt to steady it and take the torque off the pate.
