hello everyone long time lurker, just bought my two first american cars ever a 1953 packard and a 1953 dodge, im no stranger to engine work, paint, upholstery, wiring, metal shaping and the likes, i hope to soak up as much knowledge as i can and try and put my experience in where needed, im a young guy, but dont let that fool you, im into things that go fast and look good,oh and pinup girls, but who doesn't like em? glad to be here!
Welcome to the H.A.M.B from Wyandotte Mi. Agreed on the pinup girls! Dont gotta be old school to appreciate old school things!
thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I love this place on a side note, if anyone needs a 53 packard rear window, mine is in great condition and im going to chop her so I dont need mine, shoot me a p.m.
its got a 327 straight eight in it and the optional auto tranny, i haven't gotten that far into her yet to know more about the trans.
Have you seen a factory aluminum head for a 327 Packard? Type Packard in the 'search' box and take a look at the roadster with a supercharged 327 Packard. I've seen the car driving around the salt at Bonneville. Very cool car. Good Luck with your chop. Lucky667
I don't know how many they made. I've seen a few for sale. I'll let you know when I see one again. Good Luck. Lucky667
thanks newport, lots of guys in the dfw area, i think a road trip is in order once the packard is runnin!
