I'm almost ready to use my alliance discount with Coker Tire. I just can not decide on sizes. My car is a '53 Desoto that I plan to lower 2-3" in the front and atleast 4" in the rear. The car came stock with 760-15s. After looking at tire conversion charts I don't know if i want to stick to that series or go to a newer series. According to one conversion chart i read the 760 converts to an H series tire. Heres what i found on Coker's website, all of these tires fit the same suggested rim: 760-15 - 28.7 Tall x 4.9 tread x 7.5 cross section (stock tire) 3" white wall H78-15 - 28.36 tall x 5.74 tread x 8.55 cross section 3" white wall G78-15 - 27.68 tall x 5.63 tread 3.25" white wall L78-15 - 29.3 tall x 5.88 tread x 8.85 cross section 4" white wall Which tire do you think I should go with? This is a late-50s style build, and i like me some big tires. I read the "tires for customs" thread, the debate was 670s vs. 710s. The general consensus tells that 710s were put on larger cars such as Mercs and caddies, however my car came with 760s stock. Could i jump a size and get away with it?
