I belong to a couple of restoration chats but this one really caught my eye, I like the insistance on OT and look forward to learning, I'm a little rusty. Spent many years in the USN, retired and worked in ship repair. Now fully retired, I've got the time to get back with it (and some energy). Currently workin on a 64 C10 Stepside with my grandson, his first and we need to get it ready for next school year. Also doing a complete re-do on my 68 Cougar XR-7 which I've had since new, doing some upgrades in suspension and brakes (going to power, it was NP drum and was a hard thing to stop). I'll be doing my 52 Chev 3100 next. Gonna be great!! PBO
Slam, sorry to be so many years getting back to you, just doing some surfing tonight and ran across your message from 12-17-07. As enlisted I was a Radarman and made it to "selected for E-6" but never put it on. I joined in June 1959, was sworn in at the old Post Office in Portland (grew up in Silverton), I was selected for an officer program in 65 and was commisioned in 67. I retired in 92 as a Commander. Again, I apologize for the very late response. Jim
Welcome to the HAMB Jim, and for the fine, by the book Intro. Glad to have you and your grandson aboard! John, from the Desert Southwest.
