I was very excited about conquering the ignition, starter, distributor, & push start button circuit this weekend! Thanks to the help from you threaders on the H.A.M.B.! I am building this 1952 Chevy from the ground up. I am not a mechanic & do not have that much experience.

I have installed a 350 engine from an Impala. I am now trying to figure this carburetor out! Does anyone know where these 5 ports circled in red, go, & what terminates to this spade terminal?

  3. why not get a good performance carb? holley, AFB style. While I like the older q jets.... as they get newer they added more emissions crap.

I wish I could, but I have to stick with this one if it runs good. Money is tight.

Spade terminal is wired into A/C. Prevents runon in a hot engine when shutting down by idling engine up for A/C then closing butterflies during shutdown. Not needed without A/C so take whole unit off. Can plug the vac ports. Will only have more fuel vapors/smell in engine compartment. Will run ok then you can study up on quadrajets on the web and make any changes modifications later. Plenty of info on the web just google quadrajets.
