Here's my '37 Willys coupe I'm just finishing up. I've waited a long time for another Willys coupe. I had one back in the early nineties but never made it to the finished line before I had to sell it for family reasons. Kids are expensive. This one is all steel with a 41 front end and '41 doors. I have to admit I almost threw in the towel more than once. I retired almost a year ago and once my Total Knee replacement was healed enough, I got back to work in the garage. I'm running a BBC 396 and a T400. Strange Engineering rear end with power discs all around . I did all the body and paint in my shop and while it won't win any best paint awards, I pleased with it. It's been years since I painted a car, but todays paints are pretty easy to shoot. I'll post some construction pics some time

The paint looks fine from the photos, good color choice! But I'm going to go out on a "limb" here and say I like the look of the shadows on it from the tree branches. Sort of looks like a urethane bowling ball. Gives it kind of a 60's Kustom vibe.

Thanks for the kind remarks, everyone. I just got back from the Goodguys show in Scottsdale and was really hoping to take the Willys, but I had to go as a spectator. I don't have enough shakedown miles on it yet. I'm using the first SWC Willys as my inspiration. The color I chose is called Blue Persuasion, but I think it came out too silver and not blue enough but I like it. I'll include some paint pics later. It had been a while since I shot a car so there's some mottling here and there. It's almost a metal flake, which I wasn't prepared for when I first pulled the trigger. The fenders, hood and center section came out much better when I shot them a few weeks later. IMG_8966.jpg IMG_8968.jpg front end.jpg IMG_0242.jpg IMG_0595.jpg
