Yup...Warhoops was always a very popular parts source for this area. Looks like not anymore. Sorry to see it go. Typical for the times though.

I remember getting an early-style side-mount Chevy V8 bellhousing from them years ago when I wanted to change from a 235 to a V8 in my '61 Apache 3/4 ton pickup I had at the time. Got it out of a big old dump truck of the same era. They let me pull it myself. It was a hot dusty summer day there, but I was glad to get that bellhousing. They didn't charge me too awful much, and they were plenty friendly.

When I say "Sorry to see it go.", I meant sorry to see that it won't be the customer-friendly, family-owned place that it always was. I remember that when I got that bellhousing, they actually seemed happy for me that I finally got it out...and that I was gonna use it in a cool old project.

Bought lots of old Studebaker and Dodge stuff from them. Even had an event with a female coon living in a van I was getting an intake manifold from. She was not happy to say the least..

They had an old lathe set up in a semi-trailer that they made driveshafts on..:D

Great story. Credit to Joe Bortz for rebuiling the dream cars, I would hate to think what that cost.
