Mark, Definitely agree re time slipping by faster and faster. Someone explained to me in terms of “The toilet paper theory” because the roll spins faster and faster the closer you get to the end. On a related note, I find my ability to estimate time needed to finish a task is way off. Some things (not many) get finished quickly while others seem to take forever. In the meantime, weeks fly by. All in all, I guess it’s a good problem to have.
Just reupped mine, about 10 minutes ago. Glad they send an alert, each year ; or I would forget all about it and go back to being a grenade inspector!
Congrats! This will be my 10 year anniversary as an Alliance member, doing my part to spread hooliganism (that was actually a word) throughout the rodding world. I plan to don both tags on my pickup.
Honestly, I had let mine lapse. Glad this thread reminded me ! I’d been a lurker for years, but now digging into my ‘62 Mercury has me posting, and the help I get here is worth $50 just in the last week.
I didn't join to make a profit but in 10 years, figure it has cost me $500 to be an Alliance member. I have defiantly saved that in discounts, but I have also built a few cars in those 10 years. I can see if I guy doesn't build much it is an added expense that is hard to justify in a 9% inflationary market. Those that can, do. For the good of the many. HAMB on!
I joined last year after about 10 years. I wished I could get a H.A.M.B. "T" shirt to wear to the few car shows I go to every year. That would be cool! Someone might recognize it and know I'm a HAMBer! Not to mentionthe

I have found in my relatively short time here, that some give dollars, others advice, a few knowledge, some wit, a couple with the camera's lens, but all with the ethos of making this a great community. Damn, how much have I had to drink?

Congratulations @ct1932ford ! This month is my 13th anniversary here (Feb 2011) & yes....the older I get the faster the Alliance Tags come. Even if I did not advertise my business in the 'O Dex, the $50.00 per year is a drop in the bucket for all I get back from the forum on the personal collector/hot rod side in the way of information & ideas gleaned from others. Just the help I received on the front end issues with "Stubby" over the last couple of months cannot be measured monetarily. Let me add that the friendships made here are PRICELESS!!!!
