Geez man. I don't have kids, but imagining what you and mama went through brought a tear to my eye. Glad she's ok.

Hey 28rpu6 -- your daughters story sounds just like what happened to my thirteen year old granddaughter 3 years ago. We were sitting in church when she leaned against me and said she didn't feel very good, and whispered the exact symptoms your daughter had. We all took off to the nearset hospital and after many tests determined no stroke but migraine related numbness. My father had migraines as do I and my daughter also. It seems that my grandaughter has inherited this gift also. The doctors tested her to see what triggers hers and by changing her diet slightly she has not had any episodes in three years. God is good. Praying for the continued good news for your daughter. It's a scary feeling I know.

Glad to hear that she is okay. I had something like this happen to my son when he was 1 he had two very mild siezures and then nothing. NO meds and he is just fine today. The doctors don't really know what causes isolated siesures and they aren't that uncommon in growing children to have and they are fine from what we were told.

Thanks to all. It is so good to know that other people have been through the exact same thing with good long term results. Just knowing that we arent the only ones makes it better. It is still a hard pill to swallow that something is wrong and i cant put my hands on it to fix it though. As far as the diet and things, my cousin (who is an RN) in Louisiana already sent me some info on a specialist in my area who does that kind of testing and i am setting up an appointment. It hurt me last night when my doughter said she was sorry for this happening. I told her how happy i am to have had all of the best test done in one day. Some people spend years chasing all of that down. We know now that she has no tumors, sinus issues, heart or lung issues. What a blessing.

Definitely puts what we do in perspective. Wonderful to hear the prognosis is good. I've been very blessed that my 4 kids have always been healthy, although we did lose 1 child at birth. When anything big like this happens it really makes you look around and realize your kids really are a part of you. When they hurt, you hurt. Will keep you in our prayers.

  10. That had to be terrifying, thankful the crisis is over and she's OK. We had a bad scare with our oldest daughter when she was 9, no previous history of asthma and almost died with a bad asthma attack. (She's now 38 and in good health, but we almost lost her.)

  11. All of a sudden my computer screen got real blurry, I've got three grandaughters and they are my life. God bless your daughter and your entire family. PM sent.

and had to do the same thing after he was checked out by the school nurse who
didnt see anything wrong I scooped him up and flew to the local university hospital
turned out it was a case of the flu but scared the hell out me just the same

  17. i don't doubt that she will be fine from what you described but. my sister was about 10 when she started getting seizures. still don't know why and they are still there. her's are the violent shaking ones and basically knock her for hours. but just to be on the safe side keep on top of it and get multiple opinions. God Bless.

I hope the best for your daughter.

Seizures are more common these days, right before teenage years. I went through mild seizures with my one son. Scared the hell out of us. I was told by a Nurologist, with all the chemicals in food, and envirement pollutants, nerve endings arent developing fast enough, causing a missfire if you will, and with that short, all the symptoms happen. He took a med for 3 years, then weened off, and has no symptoms, races bikes, and loves to hunt.

I hope your ending is just as good

your daughter, and family are in our prayers, I have 3 little grandsons, they are the reason I push myself every day. They are my Life. The song by The Oakridge Boys. " Thank God for KIds " is very true. If you look in the eyes of a child you can truly see heaven.

I'm glad to hear the ooung lady is doing well....

There is nothing scarier than being behind that ambulance when your child is back there.

I went through an experience (not the same as yours) with my unborn daughter a few years ago who ended up being born three months early....it all started with a trip to the hospital for mom and then 6 months of surgery's and hospital stays....

after things calmed down (after a few months) I told my wife...."you know, I've been in combat and I have NEVER been so scared in my entire life as I was those few months"

Nothing feels better than an on the mend child....

    Glad yours is.

My baby is 7 and at 2 years of age she just would stop and stare. She looked angelic. It became more regular until one day she had a seizure. Right then and there I thought she was dying. I remember holding her in my lap phoning the ambulance, sobbing thinking I was losing her. She has epilepsy. Her seizures got really bad for a while and I struggled with letting her out my sight. I have changed her diet and she has medication, her seizures seem to be slowing down the older she gets. She is my angel. I pray this was a 1 off episode for you guys as sometimes its a chemical imbalance due to something as simple as a virus. xxxxxxx

Our hearts go out to you & yours buddy,... God bless & here's a lil' prayer ya asked fer. Least I can do :)

    Blessed Father,

We thank You for this precious little girl. Humbly we lift her up to You & ask for a special touch upon her body. May You protect her with Your Angels from any & all harm as she heals. Lord, may You bless the hands of the doctors, nurses & caregivers that will look after her. May she be a blessing to their lives as she has been to her loving earthly Father's. Lord, we accept that You are in control & that we do not always understand Your purpose. May You meet this family's needs. May You help to stretch their finances so that they'll be Ok. May You bless their home & vehicles. May love & laughter continue to fill their hearts for many days to come as they celebrate each day with one another. Thank You Lord.

In Jesus' name we ask it,... Amen.
