My nephew had a single siezure 2 or 3 yrs ago. Driving home from college one nite. Went into the median and flipped the car several times. No serious injuries. Cops and his parents thought he'd just gone to sleep but he kept insisting he wasn't sleepy at all before it happened.

They took him to Wake Forest University hospital for some tests and they determined he'd had a siezure. Couldn't drive for 6 months but the neurologist didn't want to put him on any meds unless he had another one since that can take you off the road for quite a while or even forever. No siezures or other neuro problems so far. Goes back to the neurologist once a year to be rechecked and has to do that yearly for a few more years.

He's built himself one of those drift racing cars now and runs it every chance he gets. His dad tells him nature tried to scramble his brain and failed, so he's trying to do it himself now.

Hope your little one gets along well and has no recurrence.

I know how you must have felt.
Came close to loosing a 15 month old son back in 1977. A smart doctor suspected what others had missed and saved his life. He grew up, had to take meds for years, loved cars and became an engineer for GM. Miles now seperate us but we remain best friend.
Best wishes to you and your family. Never give up hope.

My baby is 7 and at 2 years of age she just would stop and stare. She looked angelic. It became more regular until one day she had a seizure. Right then and there I thought she was dying.

Radgirl: I feel ya. Same w/ my daughter, but she has a non-operable tumor. Been dealing with daily seizures since 1986. We just do the best we can. She'll be 29 in January. So, everybody, hang in there

  8. Well, if your not Church going folk you should be now.

Glad to hear she's doing good.

    God bless...

Good news. One of my kids suffered with seizures from age 5-8 but has been off meds and seizure free since. Scarry stuff.

Wow, This is why i stay with this group. We all love our cars and have strong opinions, but our loved ones are the most important and that is very evident here. Last night she woke us up sick again. No seizure this time but a terrible headache and severe vomiting. I have sheceduled another visit to another doctor who thinks he can help so we will go and see. Thankyou to everyone with words of encouragement and happy ending stories. My prayers are with yall too. To all who did not have a perfect outcome, thanks for letting me know that even those things can be delt with too. You are on my prayer list.

Makes you realize just how precious and fragile life can be. The good Lord is definitely watching over her and her family. I'm glad to hear she is doing well...just always give thanks to the Big Man and you can't go wrong. My prayers on the way bro.
