Not defending the use of those latches on a '59 Apache 'cause those doors look easily repairable.

...but I wouldn't discount the idea entirely. I put gate latches on my car when I first put it on the road. Why?

-I needed a solution *right now*.
-I needed the solution to be *very cheap*.
-With suicide doors, I needed something that would *definitely* hold the doors shut.
-Because the doors are somewhat flimsy, I needed something that would keep the door held up in place in addition to closed.

...and they've done all that very very well. Funny, I'm 'upgrading' to these:



They're spring-loaded, cheap, feel smooth, and work with the existing striker plates I've got on the car. I dunno. Call me hokey.

Oh come on now, you bought it out in Lincon or Wheatland. I know a Lincon rig when I see one So how was the wagon, was it all fucked up or...? How much did he want for it? I would really like a wagon, would be nice for a bussiness I have planned.

The 60 is not much to look at, but it *is* savable. It has a 235/3 on tree... NO options. It's green with a green or gray interior. That's about it. Rusty floors and tailgate. Pass side door is messed up and so is the fender (I have those). Last time I talked to him, he wanted $700 for it. The 235 looks like it needs a tune up and it'd run.
