I just recently purchased an old safety kleen parts washer that looks like its from the late 50s or probably the 60s but i cant find any info on them and wondered if anyone on the board had one. Mine looks like a small deep freeze sorta or a lay down style coke machine. Ill try and get a pic of it to post soon.
We still have 2 of them at the shop where I work. Used them daily since the 50's. They are awesome, durable, and have not died yet. Ours look like old chest Coke machines, a few louvers on the right front side to let air to the pump motor, and a really cool hinged flip up lid.
yep thats what mines like. Ive got to restore mine though. Are they worth anything as collectors items? Im gonna use mine but i know where some more of them are.
I went to buy solvent for mine last week. $8.88 a gallon! (mine takes 10 gallons) Tha Algores of the country are going for the throat...
I have an antique parts washer, but she won't let me post her pic..................... I'll be here all week.
I snickered as I read this post. My wife asked why was a car site fun so I filled her in. I got the Ms. Potato Head look ( you know the eye change on the commercial). Anyway she has no sense of humor but I liked it.
