    hey guys,
I'm looking for some pictures of the running board area,
that humped part on the bottom,
on 41+ fords and I think mercs. of similar years.

pics of the area with the door open would really help.
well any close up pics are greatly appreciated.

    thanks!

I may have pictures for you but I am not sure what you are referring to exactly?
Are you looking for a picture of the running board, the rocker or the mounting brackets?

its the bottom door section with the hump in it,
and the adjoining cowl bottom with the similar hump,
as it joins the front fender and flows to the door.
also the quarter panel bottom as it joins the rear fender.

    when the door is open,
is the running board just underneath it,
or is there a continuation of the door jamb that outlines the outside of the door?

I'm using my cell phone and its tough to type with it!

    thanks guys!

    also,
    when the door is open,
where does the front part of the door hump go?
does it go into the fender part ?

This is the A pillar and a 41 fender without the running board attached.

Travis, Did you get what you needed ? I can take some photos after work if you want. Will need to get a light source as it will be dark by my garage.

    Thanks 416ford!
    Very helpful pics.

    Hey Dave,
could you take a picture of that same A-pillar shot,
    but with the door open?
So I can see the angle and the clearance.
    Thanks!
