Any 4 Banger guys in Bowling Green, KY. Area? I am in the process of moving here and was hoping to meet people with the same interests in the Ford 4 cylinders and cars, also the the flat head V-8 Ford guys. I hope to be totally moved this summer I have been hauling house things so far. Next I need to get a building up and move my engine dyno and machining equipment. Hope to find people with the same interests this summer! Let me know where your located. Bill Stipe
Well looks like I will have the place to myself! Sure thought there would be a few flat head hot rodders there?
bill....that's quite a move the whole business moving down there too or just the engine building on that note do yo need to lighten the load before you go.. i need some hot banger stuff tom
Tom I am only moving the engine building and my car projects my son Tony is going to run the industrial side. I turn 60 last summer and really want to concentrate on my designs and projects I started 10 to 15 years ago. seems I lost a lot of ground when I look back. You can't even imagine all the things I started and its too bad you guys would really love some of the things if I had them developed. Anyway I need to get a building up first and that may take all summer. Take care Bill
Tom, Thanks for the kind words. You most likely have way more talent then you admiting anyone that loves tinkering with the old cars is a talent in its self. I am working on the OHV a little already and have a 30 pickup truck it will be going in with a TCI frame. I am fuel injecting it for starters and have started roughing out a 5 main billet crank. hoping to build some serious HP. ---Bill
I live in Glasgow, KY and work in Bowling Green, KY. I run the crap out of flathead V8 powered RPU. Give me a shout. Rich
Not in Bowling Green but I'm in town pretty often visiting family. Only 1 1/2 hr away. Maybe run into ya at the Hotrod Reunion or something.
i'm in glasgow, but work in bowling green..Dick Webber is a flathead & 4 banger guy and also has a nice collection of hit & miss engines...Charles Watkins in the hiseville area(a lil east of bg) messes with 4 bangers too. when you get to BG, hollar at me and i can introduce you Mr. Webber.
Hi Rich, Flat head V-8 is one of the projects me and my older son are working on. He has a 32 coupe that was a drag car but was in a barn fire very rough shape. we found a merc motor for it. I am tooling up to make new steel billet cams when I get down to Auburn which is 20 miles west of Bowling Green. I will have to look up all the flat head guys. Love your avatar! Looks like a money maker to me! --- Bill
Hi Winder, For some reason Dick Webber sounds familiar but then I talk to a lot of 4 cylinder guys through out the year. My other half is down there already and I have been hauling house stuff the last few months so she can get things set up. Next I have build a shop this spring and start hauling my stuff down there. Once Im down there I will try to get in touch with you guys if I don't lose you contact. --Thanks--Bill
