  1. hey, i love that model, that is damn sweet!! Thanks for sharing. I've got 2- 59 models right now that I haven't started on yet. I'll post some pics when i complete them about 20 years from now hehe. I love those scallops. I was thinkin' bout doing mine similar to that in silver metallic with red or white outline.

yeah, That was my Elk in the nov issue. It's also maybe going to be in a future issue of OSR (1st Annual Hot Rod JalopyRama) and A future issue of CKD (The Mobtown Greaseball). later [IMG]

I've got a 59 with under 50,000 miles, this was a real gennie with manuel steering,brakes,6 stick, radio delete,NO RUST EVER,I painted the roof with 60 plus coats of Kandy Gold over gold, yellow with Kandy Red Flames and tons of Flake(Pic.taken in Garage so its hard to see how much flake) I've driven it twice to the Hunnert Car Pile-Up.

  6. Way Cool! I saw parts of it in the OSR mag. They should of taken full pics of it.Nice work.

This is my 59 when I picked it up over 2 years ago. Front and back glass was duct taped in to keep most of the weather out. The car is very solid no rust. really there is only a couple bad spots in the floor that need repair.

  7. I still cant believe thats the same car I drove by day after day growing up...It trips me out big time!! I drove that thing a few times..It pulls pretty good..Still need some gears to really go for me though!!

  8. Yeah she's 3,000 miles away from ya now. It has 355 gears in her. That's good enough for me since i'm more of a cruiser, but don't get me wrong. I throw down on her every now and then!

  9. This is the 427 that's sittin' in my 59 Elky.

59 ELKY 427, to give you a reason to come to AACA museum in Hershey, there's a special display on El Caminos, toys that is. Must be 50 or so. The ex-executive diretor of the AACA has a stock '59 he shows, I'm guessing the toys are his. My dad had a '59 back in about '69-'70.

  18. here's a couple pics of the 48 Sport N Woode...
