    hi guys -

Just picked up an Isuzu NPR with the 350 Chevy and 4L80e, not the diesel. Runs and drives great.

Looking for a 1950s Ford or Chevy/GMc cab to swap onto it.

Are there any COE builds someone can point me to using this ch***is? Love to use the flip forward cab feature if the NPR and hoping someone has already done that.

    Thanks

  2. I bought a 90 NPR, thinking it would be a good fit for my Autocar. As it turned out the tread width was too narrow and the wheels were weird European sizes and bolt patterns (15.5s and 16.5s) along with way to low a gear ratio (5.63?) for good highway cruising, so I cut my losses and junked it and used modern dually pick-up axles along with straight frame rails.
I've seen a 41-47 Ford on an Isuzu ch***is using the Isuzu tilt mechanism that seemed to work.

Im using a SBR frame under my 49 Ford COE and it fits nicely. I dispensed with the original body subframe from the 49 and lowered the body to the SBR frame and used four of the original Ford body mounts to the Isuzu frame, and simply made two new mounts at the firewall legs. All easy stuff, just the steering shuffle as with nearly any COE build.
Seems parts are pretty cheap for the suspension busses etc for the Isuzu too.
