  2. Kirk,

We painted most of the inside of John's 32 Phaeton with POR-15. And Russ' had Martin Senor (NAPA paint) mix up a flattened single stage paint for the outside of the Phaeton. John only did minimal body work to two of the doors and I think it turned out *****in' and with a little help from the Emperors he had the car finished in a couple months. Also Bill Ross has used Industrial Catapiller flat black paint on some of his hot rods. I don't know if that helps you with your paint choice.

  3. Looks pretty good really. Flows out really well. The firewall, dash, jambs are done in gloss red. In the gloss you can see the odd brush stroke but it look pretty damn good.

Do you have any pictures? I'd like to see that.

Wow - a week to dry. I wonder how pissed my wife would be if she couldn't do laundry for a week - every time I paint something and we run the dryer the clothes smell like burnt turpentine.

Here's the fenders on my '59 painted with POR15. Did great for 2 years even with the NC sun beating down on it.

POR-15 actually sprays pretty darn well, I was suprised. Shot some suspension parts with my $15 HF gun and it looked pretty darn good.
