I need to go harvest TH400 bits, like a driveshaft... :)

But since H-town is BIG, I don't want to waste time and gas trying to find the decent auto boneyards. Can you Houstonians help me out?

  2. I always call around from the yellow pages. It's getting harder to find 20+ year old stuff.

I used to like to go to Felix over by Port Arthur.

I also liked a place out on hwy 90 between Dayton and Liberty. I think it was called Terry's but I'm not sure. You'ii have to zoom in on the link. It is on the north side of the road east of the river before you get into Liberty.

There are some more over on the east side. Nothing I can remember specifically. They are all in a row on homestead between Mt. Houston and Herman. There were a couple on N. Shepard worth a look but they were always hit and miss for me.

Good Luck searching. Remember cash is king when bargaining for used parts and they will take less.

I've used a yard close to Liberty a few times, For motors and rear ends I have used upick upull on South Shaver, that have a classic section but its well picked over. they should be able to help with a th400. I was at a classic car yard up in Denton 2 weeks ago which was amazing.

The yard up in Denton is unreal, he has a TON of stuff. And in between Denton and Fort Worth is a Cadillac only bone yard. I went there when I needed to cover my sliding bard doors on my little workshop I built. Cut two (BEYOND REPAIR AND BENT IN HALF) hoods up and they look awesome.

I took a load of pictures of the Denton yard, just figuring out how to post them.
