its at the glass shop, but since its not an URGENT deal he's kinda taking his time. i just told him to call me when its done. he had a few things to get wrapped up so hopefully we'll see it by weeks end.

ok just got back from some military stuff. I cant wait till this is done and we get to see some pics of her picking up her ride. I hope she takes it to a show or two and some guys get pics of it there!

as it were, its still at the glass shop.
when i said take your time, he took it at face value.

he did call to give me an idea on price which came in higher than expected, so i know he's at least looked at it, but it's still sitting at his place.

maybe i ought to call and put a little bug in his ear.

I guess when you tell a 90 year old glass guy to take his time, he takes it literally.
as of today he said it should be ready no later than next week!!!

anyone out there got a '49 chevy sedan DRIVERS SIDE window glass?

the one the lady supplied was a used / defective unit and it popped as soon as he set it...

we have funds to get one from a supplier, but if someone wants to donate one, we would be money ahead.

Were you able to source out a carb top? I think I have one that I can donate if you're still looking. I'm up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada but I can send'r down on a carrier pigeon.

There is one on E-Pay, don't know if your willing to pay that much though, $340 for two piece windshield. If you can't find one at least that's an option. Maybe talk to the guy and see if he will just sell the drivers side or a discount for the cause?? Item #380124983325 Phone #1-800-624-2130

I just came upon this thread too from the UK I can't help but if you need a little bit of ££'s I would like to pitch in. Just been put onto reduced (half) hours myself but this is an important measure of the HAMB - keep at it!
