Any HAMBers up in Yakima, WA???

I've got a small crisis on my hands and you could use some potential help.

Backstory: I've located and purchased a car I've wanted for 25 yrs, a 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS (w/4spd). The car is waiting to be picked up in Yakima, WA and I live in Oakland, CA. I've hired DAS to do the shipping and everything was great until the tow guy showed up and wouldn't pick up the car due to the emergency brake not working! (Apparently, if it was an automatic this wouldn't be an issue). The guy who sold me the car, while very nice and patient as a Saint, doesn't strike me as very handy in the "mechanics dept". And so my car, which should've been on it's way to me, just sits while I play phone tag with the shipping company.

If anybody out there lives in Yakima and could POSSIBLY take a gander at this E Brake situation (hopefully fixing it), I would be FOREVER GRATEFUL and would send up a nice token of my appreciation (a case of tasty beer... or something). I'd hate to think something as silly as a loose cable or some other simple thing is holding this all up.
