I think loosing interest and letting the upkeep fall off and selling. Next owner fixes up but changes stuff to his liking. How many toys you got from kid times? I'd play with them, take them apart to see what made them tick; the end. I have one payloader that I didn't destroy, is a pretty good copy of the real machine, 1956, played with till about 58' then parked it. Sits on a shelf in the cellar shop. I parked it when I was 10 and was about the time I started putting things together..
It was a Showrod in many ways. There was alot of forward thinking in this Hotrod...this particular detail always gets lumped in with modern discussions of **** that wasn't born yet...and no doubt it will continue to be misunderstood...then there's Maltese crosses...and and... ...And actually why I brought the Thread up again elsewhere...it was being misconstrued... It happens when someone gets it and cuts the ugly off as mentioned so many times here...remember appreciation of Vintage Hotrod/Custom is a niche interest and group...
Bttt...Oh Yeah...Halloweens just around the corner... This is one cool Hotrod...and a trendsetter in many ways...where is it now...
