We stumbled upon the back half of an old four door sedan while hiking in the forest near Leadville Colorado.

It was a big car... much wider than my Model A Tudor. The window mechanism has a chain, about the same size as a bicycle chain.

Any idea what this was back in the day?

My bet is circa 1926 Dodge.... I had 4 doors from one and that beltline and the recessed details all around the window look exactly like what I had.

also the huge back window (above the spare tire) looks right

  4. The door handle is unusually simple for a car of that era. HRP

I was thinking mid 20's Dodge also because of the door handles along with the body lines and huge back window.

Dodge Brothers for sure. 1924 still had chain drive window winders, 1925 went to more modern typical mechanisms.
