I bought this steering wheel over 15 years ago and it has hung on my wall since. It was sold to me by a guy that dealt in US car parts in the UK so I always ***umed it was American, though lately I have had my doubts. In case you can't read it, under the logo it has the words "Volants Quillery Paris". I've Googled it and come up empty handed. Also says "Made in France" on the back, so possibly made for an English speaking country? Plymouth has been suggested but I can't find one like it on Google, anyone got any ideas?
I'd say it's a Renault. Check out this link. Dan http://cgi.ebay.fr/volant-quillery-...9854362QQihZ003QQcategoryZ73767QQcmdZViewItem
"Made in..." is generally in English no matter what because main reason was USA law on imports. I've seen "Made in Germany", thus, on WWII Wehrmacht equipment even.
Renault it is then. Thank you for the speedy response! Bruce, never knew that about "Made in", it's nice to learn something new everyday. Following on from the ebay link I found this, so that sttles it then. All these years I was wondering and it was that easy! http://cgi.ebay.fr/Volant-Marque-Quillery-Type-Banjo_W0QQitemZ190187267865QQcmdZViewItem
I can't see the pics but the ones on the ebay links that have been posted are cool! You should be glad it doesn't say "Hecho in China".
