Trying to figure out how to fix the sagging doors on my 55 Plymouth. I know they make bushing kits for Chevy doors that year, but does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the stock hinges on a Plymouth. The only idea I have come up with is something like the hidden hinges Rocky's sells. I don't want to make these doors suicide style cause I want it to look like a mild custom from the 60's. Thanks for any input.

The last time I was in Autozoo I saw a bunch of hinge pins and bushing hanging on the rack. There must be something that could be fitted with a little drilling.

I have used GM hinge pins and bushings to repair other makes of cars (just because I had them handy). Examine your hinges, you may be able to get new pins and bushings from your local Chrysler dealer, they used the same ones for years and years in most cars. Or, the GM ones may work.

Hinges are real easy to fix. All that goes on them is the pins and bushings and they are easy and cheap to replace. You will have to align the door when you are done which is another subject.

Measure the pins. You can sometimes find replacement ones the same size. If not, you can usually buy something close, and then drill out the metal to put in bushings that go along with the pins you choose..in this case, you can certainly use a slightly different size.

Sometimes it is easier to ream the hinge and put in an oversize pin.
