Mostly made for marine use. Some of them are made of a copper/brass alloy. Pretty dang rare, in any form.
Do a search on here for Federal Mogul, you'll get lots of info. That is the first set of 24 stud FM heads that I have seen. Rich
I would guess tha manifolds would be the same...all the differences for 24 studs are in the bottom row of studs.
Hi Bruce ,it`s been awhile since we communicated..i thought the out side holes at both ends were placed higher on the 24 stud ones.it`s been a long time and my memory is getting bad. i think they may fit too.Just to be sure ,i will order both sets from J.C.Whitney and send the set back that does not fit.Chris
The JC Whitney Federal Mogul pieces are Chinese...skip'em and get the genuine "Help!" brand ones at Advance Auto.
Well Bruce I guess I am a newbies, I have never even heard of bronz heads, totally newbies-ish for sure or totally newbies information to me. Pretty darned cool, and I have learnt somethin' new da-day, now I can take a nap.
Waterless heads on top of a flathead is a scary concept! Then you realize why they did it! Those water filled kinds just won't make decent waffles...everything runs down onto the exhaust before it gets hot enough. Feh.
I agree Bruce; They are very heavy compared to the Canadian ones i have on the roadster.I wonder how much weight i can save by milling the fins off?Chris
