This pic is my desktop back ground, So I have a bit of time every day to study it..I don't know anyhing about the car but what I can tell by the picture is that this is one COOOLLLL hot rod. The first thing I know for sure is that this picture was taken between June of 1942 and september of 1945..The guys uniform tells me that.(also the 16x6.00s all the way around the car.) The next thing I notice is the hand formed hood and sides....the sides have an insert that looks to me like some sort of expanded aluminum from something like a screen door. I also noticed that the top is not only dark in color but appears in this photo to be a "bikini" style top............two traits not thought to be period correct for a 40s style car. Also, The file name is "Dan" anybody have a clue? please feel free to comment on it even if you don't know..this thread is bound to beat a handful of them I've seen tonight.

I agree............it's pretty pure and this car shows alot of independent thinking.
