Last night I looked through my magazines for hours to find the article on that truck. I know I have it somewhere. It is a Colorado truck, built in about '61 or '62. I'll keep looking.....................
Thanks OG_lil_E! Would be nice to now anything about t Effie and se some pics to.Hope you find something to feed me with. Regards, Halle
The picture is out of the August 1962 Hot Rod, aussiesteve is correct on the name, and that is the only picture of it in the mag. Mutt
A little trivia...The August '62 issue of Hot Rod was the first issue to have a full color photo inside the magazine.
I remember the truck...one of my favorites. It must have been featured in other mags. I remember reading about it. You might try Car Craft. It was heavy into customs back then. Of course I bought every hot rod related magazine back then.
Here is a pix of my buddy in CA Eric Erickson's Ford...kinda similar. I got the pix from www.ruffrodders.com

Otto Rhodes still lives in Pueblo, according to Yahoo people search. I'll bet, if you contacted him, he'd be tickled to share pics, etc. about his truck.
