    March 17, 2012
    If you haven't done St. Patrick's Day in Dublin, Texas, you just haven't done St. Patrick's Day at all! From dogs and dancers, cooks and cowboys, pageants and parades, to athletes and artists... there's something for everyone, and plenty of fun activities to choose from. Weekend festivities include:

    *Irish Stew cook-off
    * Dog show
    * Carnival and Rides
    * City-wide Parade
    * Road Rally
    * Highland Games (traditional Irish games testing strength and coordination)
    * Square dancing, Line dancing, and Concerts
    * Arts & Crafts
    * Food
    * Bulls and Broncs Rodeo
    * Petting zoo
    * 3 Beauty Pageants
    * Antique and Cl***ic car show
    The Road Rally will be the first annual "Wild Irish Roads", and will take entrants in a 100-mile loop around Dublin. The event will be rally #1 in the Texas Region SCCA 2012 Regional Rally Championship. The format will be a fun run, with points gained for seeing certain signs and landmarks along the route. A checkpoint at the halfway point will also award points towards a trophy. Speaking of trophies, they are being handmade by a Dublin craftsman. Entrants will receive dash plaques, a goody-bag, and free entry into the Friday night wine/cheese/chocolate tasting party and other Festival activities. Registration is open at tinyurl.com/WIR12msr . For more details go to www.tex***cca.org/rallytime.
