Well the main body does not look to be sectioned. But the metal above the belt line was cut down considerably. So technically that would be a sectioned body.

Humm, I might have a candidate for such a rig if my bud cuts the top of one of his cars before I beat him out of it. I have had a similar car in building in the back of the brain for several years. I'd want to shoot for the factory dream car look if I could.

There was a article in an old Little Pages about doing the same thing. I will have to look it up. Really cool ideas in the magazine.

Dont want to jack your thread, but these were some ideas i was working on that sort of go with this kind of thing

This is just a 50 chevy convert with a sectioned belt line and slight section over the rest of the body except for the quarters, chopped windshield, pancaked/ sectioned trunk, nosed, lowered etc.

here is a more extreme version... I was inspired by the porsche 550 spyder
rolled pan, shortened, sectioned body and belt line chopped top, lowered, radiused wheel wells reshaped the rear quarters, sunk the passegner compartment into the trunk.... dunno how possible it would be in real life, but i might be willing to try it with my junk 50...

haha severely shortened coupe...3 window treatment sectioned blah blah blah

    same deal but a 5 window :D

Call me crazy if you like....

There have been quite a few Sports Custom type cars in the 40's and 50's built with the same idears.

Thanks Guys ......I too am looking at the possibilities of something like this , I also , have this unsatisfied desire to create a 'Concept Custom' that pushes itself past all the other unbuilt crap in my head to be in the foreground periodically !!

As someone said , the four doors could work with this style , cheap is good !!

The Buick is fantastic and those Sports Specials from Rikster , really show iniative...it's ironic really , a lot of early builds like this mimicked the European look , and us Europeans strive to mimick the U.S. Look !!
