he ran stock cars back in the 50's & 60's in California, I think in what would be today's "bush" class. He owned a bar in Paramount, called "The Starlight" on Alondra & Downey ave. I was telling my Pop's about this site an he asked me if I had run across any posts with Clem's name coming up. He used to buy steel from my Dad for his cars & trailers. The 'ol man was wondering if he was still kickin ?

  2. Clem passed back in 1994. He ran Winston West and a handful or two of Cup Races.

I really wish I rememberdd better, but maybe all those beers, screwdrivers and margaritas have taken their toll on my memory. Yes, I remember Clem Proctor and I used to "Cruise" all the bars in that area during the '60s. I think I initally met him when I worked at Bell Auto Parts in Bell and he invited me to stop by his "watering hole".
