Technical any old mag wheel experts?

    I have this set of 4 old keystone magnesium wheels, never seen any before, any info on these?

    look like keystone Rogues. are ya sure they are Mag and not aluminum?

    I always had a hard time looking at the wheel in that top ad. As a teenager, I thought the reflection was pretty interesting.

    this good looking wheel was for drag racing. dont know the name, but its real keystone mag.

    They are Keystone K Mags - do you still have them? What size and do you have the original caps? They are extremely rare, only made for one year. The K Mags came with magnesium caps, although my set seems to have been fitted with run-of-the-mill die-cast zinc ones...

    Care to post a pic of yours for us to see? The '73 Keystone catalog mentions a 15x3-1/2" K-Mag with a stated weight of 9 pounds, then shows another wider version in front of the skinny wheel, presumably also a K-Mag?:

    I stumbled upon this topic after picking up a pair of 15x7 Keystone Rogue wheels yesterday, then did the Google search and found the vintage wheel catalogs page with the K-Mag shown for 1973. Seems like Keystone got their money's worth out of the molds, making a few variations of the same design with the Rogue, K-Mag and Snomag.

    A drop of vinegar on the back side will tell ya. Bubbles=mag. Nothing happens=aluminum
