The Jr. Dragster's of the day. Must have been great to have grown but in a situation where this could be afforded. I was lucky to have a bike and supper! lol Cool find, would make another great dust collector in my garage . Larry

This photo from 1957 was taken at Wichita, Kansas. We spent that summer touring all over the Midwest. Good times!

 

Anaheim, Ca. 1955. This was the "Jelly Bean Bowl", on Doug Caruthers Viking Trailer property. This was one of the last races on this track as Doug had sold the property to Disney. It became a parking lot for Disneyland. When Disney built California Adventure, this very property became the site of the Cars Land ride.

 

Those were the subject of many kids dreams!
