Now there's a car that doesn't know what it wants to be.

It walks a fine line between a being a 3 dimensional mixed metaphor, and a rolling oxymoron.

Pro Street/Lead Sled/Rat Rod Fashion Victim.

  9. I have seen it in real life, was at lead east in 2002.. Its really a cool car but i never got to meet the guy... I over herd from the Ez rods club that it wasnt finished... so im guessn its going to be a wacky prostreet....

    I'm sorry,but......
"Pro-street" and "Shoebox" do NOT belong in the same sentence.......
Now, on the other hand,if he could figure out a way, to get THAT engine, UNDER a FLAT HOOD,and keep it LOW enough you couldn't see the fat MEATS.........it MIGHT work.
    Just my $.02 worth.

  17. Wow! That's on par w/ the PPE for cartoonesque proportions. Just goes to show that lots of cool parts in a cool car can still suck.

  18. Custom sled ???? weeeeell maybe ,but I for one would love to see it run the dtrip beats the hell out of all the cookie cutter camaro's an 5.0's even trifives are gettin to look a like- pro/mod,super/gas or sech,This thing would be a real crowd pleaser I'm thinkin,

Nothing wrong with a hotrod showbox. I'd have to get rid of the radirs though.

I love the body, that chop is bitchin!!
But, i don't like tubbed cars, any. I would have rather seen a kickass custom made out of it, it cirtainly has the right everything for that.
But, thats just my useless oppinion [IMG]

I wouldn't put it down though, somebody did a lot of work to get it where it is.

    Rat...

I want to know how he can leave the line without dragging body parts if that motor lives up to its appearance!

    I like it!

Normally I like low sleak and smooth, but this thing captures high horsepower quite well in my opinion... [IMG]

Seems to me that Cecil Profitt built a similar car back around 1980;yellow Shoebox on a tube frame and monster motor(think it was a BBC)even had a quiet exhaust system.Saw it at a car show in Massachusetts;think it was the first pro street car I ever saw.Was on a PPG calendar awhile back.FWIW I think it's great.Livin' outside the box can be fun.
